SIMPLE WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM THROUGH REVERSE OSMOSIS
What is reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis removes contaminants from unfiltered water, or feed water, when pressure forces it through a semipermeable membrane. Water flows from the more concentrated side (more contaminants) of the RO membrane to the less concentrated side (fewer contaminants) to provide clean drinking water. The fresh water produced is called the permeate. The concentrated water left over is called the waste or brine.
A semipermeable membrane has small pores that block contaminants but allow water molecules to flow through. In osmosis, water becomes more concentrated as it passes through the membrane to obtain equilibrium on both sides. Reverse osmosis, however, blocks contaminants from entering the less concentrated side of the membrane. For example, when pressure is applied to a volume of saltwater during reverse osmosis, the salt is left behind and only clean water flows through.

A solar water pump system is essentially an electrical pump system in which the electricity is provided by one or several PhotoVoltaic (PV) panels. A typical solar powered pumping system consists of a solar panel array that powers an electric motor, which in turn powers a bore or surface pump.

SINGLE PHASE & THREE PHASE PUMPS
Single-phase power is commonly found in residences and commercial buildings and is primarily used for powering small appliances under 1000 watts. This configuration may either be a simple 120V or a split phase configuration with 120/240V. Single phase is either a two or three wire ac circuit.
The three-phase pump is equipped with an electric motor powered by three phases, ie by three sinusoidal voltages, and is used above all in the case of medium-high powers, such as in the industrial and automation sectors.
One key difference between single-phase vs. three-phase is that a three-phase power supply better accommodates higher loads. Single-phase power supplies are most commonly used when typical loads are lighting or heating, rather than large electric motors. Single-phase systems can be derived from three-phase systems.
DIESEL & PETROL PUMPS
The water pump circulates coolant throughout passages in the engine, cooling the engine block and components, whenever the engine is running. The water pump impeller moves coolant through the pump and to the rest of the engine.
Water pumps do not pump air very well and running them without water will damage the seals, as water lubricates and cools the seals in the pump. Many petrol powered water pumps use a centrifugal impeller and are ‘self-priming’. This type of water pump uses an air-water mix to prime the suction hose.

Solar-powered household lighting can replace other light sources like candles or kerosene lamps. Solar lamps have a lower operating cost than kerosene lamps because renewable energy from the sun is free, unlike fuel. In addition, solar lamps produce no indoor air pollution unlike kerosene lamps.
